'Beauty and the Beast' received two 'Teen Choice' nominations today! Kristin Kreuk is nominated for 'TV Actress in Fantasy/Sci-Fi' and 'Beauty and the Beast' is up for 'Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi'! Yay! Congratulations 'BATB' for the nominations! Both categories are up against some pretty heavy competition, with very passionate fan-bases, so every vote counts! So, fellow Beasties get ready to VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

Aww, sweetness! I love the special friendship and bond the cast and crew have formed on the show! I'm going to miss writer Emily Silver next season of 'BATB'. Not only did she write two of my favorite BATB episodes, "Trapped" & "Partners in Crime", but I also thoroughly enjoyed reading her tweets sprinkled with BTS goodies. I love comics. I love 'Beauty and the Beast'. So, imagine my excitement when the two mediums collided in the creation of BATBNation Beauty and the Beast online Graphic Novels! I was THRILLED and eagerly looked forward in reading them before each new 'BATB' episode...as visible with all my gushing seen HERE, HERE, & HERE. These online comics were created by the 'dynamic duo' Sarah Hernadez (writer) and Andy Holmes (artist) and together developed some great, fun, cool stories involving our favorite 'BATB' characters. Sadly, Sarah announced yesterday on twitter that she will not be returning for season2 of 'Beauty and the Beast'. Obviously, I was crushed. I had the great pleasure of meeting Sarah at WonderCon a few months back and she was simply 'all kinds of awesome'! It was great to discover our shared love for 'BATB', comics, & all things Superman. An unforgettable experience! THANK YOU Sarah for your hard work and dedication in the creation of these special comics and for sharing all the love with 'Beasties' on twitter and WonderCon! I wish you all the BEST in all your future projects! Looking forward in learning of your new 'super' adventures!

"To me [BATB] is very much a love story...it is ultimately about how two people connect with each other apart from all of the obstacles, apart from all of their differences, apart from the dangers from the outside world. That is what the story is...it is a love story." ~ Kristin Kreuk "The connection between Vincent and Catherine is the heart of [BATB]...and I guess she needs to tame the beast in a way and I guess they do that through trust and love...because of Vincent's backstory...he doesn't use cell phones, he doesn't use Facebook, and all that sort of stuff we use in modern day. So, with that it gives me the opportunity to really get the old school romantic sort of courting... " ~ Jay Ryan LOVE IT! I do miss some of the 'old school romantic' courting visible in the earlier episodes...with the notes, pebbles, and Vincent saying Catherine's FULL NAME and not her nickname 'Cat', like everyone else calls her. 'Beauty and the Beast' is set to premiere in Australia on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 9.30pm (Ch.10)!
