World’s Finest Comics – A comic book series published by DC Comics that ran from 1941 to 1986. This series whose title name was changed from World’s Best Comics to World’s Finest after its first issue, originally told separate Superman and Batman stories in the 1940s. Later, it featured Superman-Batman team-ups from the 1950s through its cancellation in 1986. The comic book run under this title begins with World’s Finest #2 published in the summer of 1941 and officially ends with issue #323 in January 1986. Lana Lang makes her first appearance in this series in World’s finest #251 (June-July 1978).
