Adventure Comics (1938 Series)

Adventure Comics - A comic book series published by DC Comics that originally began in 1935 under the title New Comics and then was later re-titled New Adventure Comics in its 12th issue (Jan. 1937). The book gradually turned into a more serious adventure series and by issue #32 the title was changed a final time to Adventure Comics, which remained the book's name for the duration of its run. Therefore, this comic book as titled Adventure Comics is indexed beginning with issue #32 published in November 1938. It officially ends its comic book run with issue #503 in September 1983. Lana Lang makes her first appearance in this series in Adventure Comics #161 (February 1951) and her first cover appearance in Adventure Comics #167 (August 1951).
