TheCW has released a Spring promo for the network's shows, which includes 'Beauty and the Beast'!

Hopefully, its a sign there will be a 'BATB' season2.

The beautiful Bridget Regan, who played Alex on 'Beauty and the Beast', was interviewed by 'Celebified' and was asked about working on 'BATB' and her character's 'uncertain fate'.

Also, the show's writers' assistant and 'BATB' comic writer, Sarah Hernandez, was asked the same question. Her answer...

Nice! Its one of my favorites too! I wonder if they know they share the same favorite song.

Anyway, what does this have to do with 'Smallville'? Well, Sarah mentioned it in her tweet...the song, "Wherever You Will Go" was also featured on 'Smallville'.

On 'Smallville" it was interpreted by 'The Calling' and on 'Beauty and the Beast', it is sung by Charlene Soraia. I LOVE both versions A LOT and what makes it extra special is that it was used during poignant scenes for the show's romantic leads...take a look!

'Beauty and the Beast' interview: Executive producer Jennifer Levin talks about Evan's betrayal and what's coming in 'Heart of Darkness' (warning: spoilers) - "...Speaking of revelations, Cat and Vincent also have to deal with another person -- Tess (Nina Lisandrello) -- knowing about their secret. While Tess isn't about to betray Cat anymore, there will be some tension remaining between the two friends. "Tess' friendship, Tess' loyalty is going to be tested," Levin said. But then she added,"I think it's going to get stronger. But obviously, there's going to be conflict along the way. [Tess] holds a lot of power now."

After "Heart of Darkness," there are only a few episodes remaining before the Season 1 finale. Levin confirms that this finale will be a major cliffhanger, and that fans can expect at least one beloved character to be in danger of losing his or her life before the season ends. Does a buildup like this mean that we can expect a seconds season for "Beauty and the Beast"? Nothing is certain yet, but Levin did express confidence that the show had a good shot at renewal..."

"Exclusive Interview: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST stars Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan - "...ASSIGNMENT X: Kristin, it's been awhile since we've seen you on TV, what is it about this how that brought you back to TV?

KRISTIN KREUK: The show is really interesting. The female character is really strong and complicated and I wanted to do that. When I met with the girls that created the show, Executive Producers Sherri (Cooper) and Jennifer (Levin) I just fell in love with them and I thought we would have a very good opportunity to create a female character that was really interesting.

AX: Were you a fan of the original show?

KREUK: Jay was.

JAY RYAN: I was a huge fan. When I was little and it played in New Zealand it was a very popular show. I actually watched it with my Nana as she watched after me after school. So when I got the call to audition I was excited to see how it progressed from the original series..."

Beauty and the Beast Boss Teases Identity, Jealousy... and Pregnancy?!? - "...TV Fanatic: Catherine and Vincent they seem to be in a pretty good place, which of course of makes me think they won't be in a good place for long.

JL: They are in a pretty good place. In the next episode, Cat and Vincent have to deal with the fact that Evan saw him leaping from the fire escape and alerts Muirfield to where Vincent is. So Cat has to go in and deal with Evan and Evan quickly realizes that he might have been wrong about Vincent and then he has do to something drastic in order to help the situation. So it all sort of spirals out of what Evan saw off of the last episode.

TVF: Is it safe to say that Evan is acting out of his emotions for Catherine or has it just become the right thing for him to do at some point?

JL: I think both. I mean, I think he really believes the vigilante is a bad guy and that he wants to clear the city of New York of him but, also, he wants to protect Cat. He doesn't want her to be with a dangerous person and obviously there is the jealousy since he is in love with her..."

Another source of drama for VinCat will come in "Anniversary," in which "Cat starts to think that her mom might still be alive. That causes some tension with Vincent who just wanted to move on, move, past it, move forward and not be dragged into the past." While Levin won't say much about Cat's mother and the family secrets, she explains, "We did it mostly as a way for Cat and Gabe to come together. That was sort of the motivation behind it..."

It was way better than them being like, "Wait, we'd rather have him be with Alex. 'Beauty and the Beast' Season 1 finale: Kristin Kreuk says 'fans may not like' season's ending - "..."On 'Smallville,' we were pretty much sure every single year that it would be going again. It's a different environment when a crew doesn't feel as stable, but we have a really wonderful team. Nobody knows anything for sure, but everyone's staying positive. And I think we're proud of the work that we've done."

That includes the development of Catherine's relationship with the beastly yet hunky Vincent (Jay Ryan), her self-appointed protector with whom she's finally become romantically involved. "I don't think any of us, including the producers, thought we would go there this season," Kreuk allows. "I feel like them in a relationship is a little more interesting in some ways than them out of a relationship. Their love was clear almost from the start, so I like the struggles they go through in a relationship -- as opposed to the struggle of, 'Are we going to be in a relationship or not?'..."

'Beauty and the Beast' Executive Producer Reveals Shocking Finale Twist (warning: spoilerish)- "...But the strange thing is that Evan doesn't expose Vincent for malicious reasons. "He hopes to protect Cat," Levin says. "He obviously knows that Catherine is in love with this guy but he thinks that [Vincent] is a force of evil. And he also hopes to get Cat. He's jealous."

We wouldn't hold our breath for a relationship with Cat if we were Evan, however: Cat won't be feeling too warm towards her work friend after his actions lead to Muirfield successfully capturing Vincent. That's right, we said capture — not kill. Vincent's life won't be in danger, contrary to what he and Cat have always thought. "There's more that they can learn from him by studying him, since he survived out there for a long time," Levin explains. "We get to see inside Muirfield. We get to learn about what they're up to, and [we learn] that they're active... It's not just about cleaning up the past. So perhaps Vincent could help them in their active endeavors..."

I was lucky enough to attend the 'BATB' WonderCon panel and watch the special preview of tonight's "Heart of Darkness" and all I can say is, you are in for an awesome, action packed, heart-pumping good time! Beauty and the Beast: There's a Possibility Vincent Can Be Cured -- But Does He Want to Be? - "...What would you say is Cat and Vincent's biggest concern as a couple heading into the final episodes?

Levin: There ends up being a possibility that Vincent can be cured, and I think that their biggest struggle is what's normal for them, which might be him being a beast and the good aspects of that and the aspects they've come to depend on. So Vincent's DNA becomes more of a source of conflict. When we started, Vincent had spent 10 years in hiding and he had just given up hope. Now Cat is back in his life and maybe she's triggered hope in his life, but where does that lead?
