Kristin Kreuk: New 'Beauty and the Beast' TV series is 'totally away from the Disney version'

"I think that ours is so different. It's very modern, we're in New York City, we're in present day, we're dealing with regular crime stuff," Kreuk said. "Also his storyline, the beast's back story, is I think is plausible in a sense, you know."

Kreuk is best known for her role as Lana Lang, Clark Kent aka Superman's love interest before he met Lois Lane in "Smallville." The show, which starred Tom Welling as Clark Kent, ended its 10-year run on May 13, 2011..."
