I had the great pleasure of meeting and briefly talking to Sterling Gates who is the current writer for “Supergirl” comics!! He was at the DC booth signing autographs. I told him that I was a big Lana Lang fan and he excitedly replied with a huge smile “I love her too!” He then got a big chuckle when I handed him Supergirl #49 to sign since I had just finished telling him that I was a BIG Lana Lang fan and yet I gave him the book in which Lana dies for him to autograph lol

I told him that I have been enjoying his writing and incorporation of Lana in the “Supergirl” books very much and asked if there were any Lana Lang tid-bits coming up that he could spill. He said that there was nothing that he could reveal at this time, but asked if I had read the latest issue of Supergirl #54. He indicated that there were some nice Lana scenes featured in the book. I informed him that I hadn’t read it yet *bows head in shame*, but promised to pick-up a copy as soon as I got the chance. I then thanked him again for his positive writing of Lana considering her polarizing status among fans. He looked at me with a puzzled look when I said that so I explained about the online hate towards the character. He then nodded in understanding, but said that most of that stems from Smallville *sigh*.
