Several online sources are predicting 'Beauty and the Beast' is looking good for renewal! Wonderful news! Even the dreaded 'Cancellation Bear' from tvbythenumbers who has been negative towards a 'BATB' second season, seems to have changed its mind (at least for now). So, let's hope these online predictions are right and be rid of the pesky Cancellation Bear's growl once and for all! There is only one 'Beast' I want to hear roaring ;)

Pilot Panic: Streaming Deals Boost Chances Of CW Bubble Series; Will They All Return? - "...As for Beauty And The Beast, it will likely return for a second season. The reboot of the 1980s series was a pet project for Pedowitz and one of the first titles he put in development after taking the reins of the network in 2011. Additionally, with 90210 gone, it is the only current CW series from CBS TV Studios. Set up as a partnership between CBS and Warner Bros with CBS TV Studios and Warner Bros TV as its scripted suppliers, there always is a political element in the CW's pickup decisions as it tries to strike a balance between its two parents/studio partners..."

The CW Eyes Reduced-Order Renewals for Bubble Shows - "...The major network Upfront presentation have yet to truly roll out, but plenty of broadcast and cable networks have already set their sights on which series to renew or potentially cancel. After word broke that NBC could be next in line, now Deadline has revealed that The CW could soon issue truncated orders to such bubble series as 'Nikita,' 'Hart of Dixie' or 'Beauty and the Beast.' Neither of the three series boast significant ratings for The CW, but still enjoy a healthy online viewership, while CW president Mark Pedowitz remains committed to allowing series to finish on their own terms..."

Will The CW renew all of its shows? Good news for 'Carrie Diaries,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'Nikita' and more - "...Early reports suggested that "Beauty and the Beast" would get the axe, particularly because it hasn't performed as well as "The Secret Circle" did in its timeslot last season. However, because the show is The CW's only current offering from CBS Studios (with a few more in the pipeline for pilot season), it is likely to get a pickup. As Deadline reports, keeping the show could be a strategic political move for The CW. It's also a favorite of The CW president Mark Pedowitz, who was not a "Secret Circle" fan..."

CW: 'Beauty & The Beast' Is Likely To Be Renewed - "In what may be the only real disagreement this season between the Cancellation Bear's Renew/Cancel Index and Robert's Bubble Watch, the bear is once again moving his Beauty & The Beast prediction back to "likely to be renewed". Three reasons why the bear's making the move. Beauty & The Beast ratings relative to other CW scripted shows continue to hold in the 90%+ range which is typically signals "likely to be renewed" (retentionistas may begin their howling now). As noted in previous weeks, the CW has never begun a 10 hour Fall schedule without at least six hours of "veteran" scripted shows, and canceling Beauty & The Beast would leave them with just five. Finally, Beauty & The Beast is the only 100% CBS produced show currently on the CW schedule that's able to be renewed (Hart Of Dixie is CBS&WB). Although he doesn't have historical records to back it up, bear guesses that joint venture quid pro quo is likely to carry at least a little decision making weight..."

'Parenthood,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'Happy Endings': Bubble shows you want back - "It would appear that the People's Choice Award for "Beauty and the Beast" earlier this year was not a fluke in terms of fan support. The CW series not only drew the highest number of votes of any poll in this year's Bubble Watch, but it also got the largest percentage of "keep" votes. More than three-fourths of 7,918 voters on Zap2it say they want the show to return for 2013-14....Landslide winners: "Beauty and the Beast": 7,918 votes. Keep: 6,034 (76.21 percent). Kill: 1,884 (23.79 percent)."

25 Bubble Shows: Which Will Survive? - "Beauty and the Beast (The CW)Thursdays at 9/8c
The Good News: Shout-out to the Beasties! The series has attracted a small but devoted following, and if The CW knew what was good for it, it wouldn't dare piss them off.
The Bad News: Beast sheds nearly half of its Vampire Diaries lead-in, and with a Vampire Diaries spin-off in the works, there's incentive for The CW to cut the cord."
